Housing demolition initiated and dominated by governments has swept over large and small cities in recent years, entailing countless issues, major or minor. This campaign is unprecedented across time and space and sensational to foreign countries, friendly or hostile. However, the issue of intellectual properties has evaded the notice of everyone, in this regard, this paper addresses the issue of compensation for demolition of commercial housing from the perspective of intellectual property alone and no others.
The housing demolition in cities in China Mainland, including governmental expropriation and commercial development, are generally compensated in the form of money, equity swap(including swap of equity in the same site and in different sites ) as well as the mixture of money and equity swap.
